Death
Petition for partition states Elias Weaver "...died on or about the twentieth day of September last (1839)..."Probate
The petition of John Weaver, a son of Elias Weaver, to make partition of his three parcels of land names his children and grandchildren (his daughters Sara and Catherine were deceased). The petition names the following children: John, Charles, Maria married to Daniel Schwartz, Elizabeth married to George Kemmerer, and Catharine (deceased) married to Philip Dany. The following grandchildren were named Maria Wieder, guardian Charles Weaver; Charles Dany; Matilda Dany married to Daniel Henninger; Anna Dany married to Samuel Reichenbach; Lydia Dany; and Elias Dany, William Dany, and Edward Dany, guardian Philip Dany. Elias Weaver owned three parcels of land of 24 acres, 122 perches; 14 acres, 31 perches; and 10 acres, 74 perches. The heirs refused the appraised value of the land and it was sold at auction. The three parcels were purchased by George Kemmerer; Joseph Weber and George Neismovyer; and Philip Dany. George Kemmerer and Philip Dany were married to daughters of Elias Weaver.Number 1 parcel of 24 acres was purchased by Joseph Weber for $38.50 per acre.
Number 2 parcel of 14 acres was purchased by George Kemmerer at 25.25 per acre and Philip Neismoyer for $193.91.
Number 3 parcel of 10 acres was purchased by Philip Dany at $63.75 per acre.
