Divorce
Samuel J. Helman married Mary A. Menges about 1865 and was living with her and their three children in the 1870 census in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. According to the accounts in the newspaper when the divorce was filed in June, 1890 and granted in June, 1891, Samuel J. Helman left his wife, Mary A., in 1871 and was living in Cambria County, Pennsylvania in 1890 with another wife and family.Endnotes
