Birth
This date is considered primary for his birth since it is consistent with the 1900 census, his World War I draft registration, the Social Security Death Index, and his tombstone. The birthdate provided by his father in 1915 on the form for the pension bureau was only one day off from that used in his World War I draft registration and on the Social Security Death Index. The date on the World War II draft registration was the same for the date but the was off by one year.Death
Although Find A Grave gives his birthdate as 26 October 1893, his tombstone inscription shows he was born in 1895 which is consistent with other dates for his birth.Endnotes
