Military
Jacob enlisted at Eldred Township in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania in September 1814; he was a private and corporal in a company commanded by John Christian and attached to a regiment commanded by Colonel Lutz; he served three months and was honorably discharged in December 1814. His widow Margaret applied for a pension from Pennsylvania on 16 October 1868.Endnotes
