Notes
Probate
Church Smith McCoy owned a lot with a frame dwelling in Indiana Borough at the time of his death. His widow elected to take $300 as her widow's share and petitioned the Court to have the real estate appraised. The Court decided that the lot could not be divided without injury to or spoiling the whole and valued it at $900. Columbus McCoy as executor petitoned the Court to sell the home and lot in Indiana Borough since his father's personal estate was not enough to pay his debts. It was eventually sold for $650 at a private sale.Endnotes
