Notes
Birth
Her age is given as 40 on an 1814 tax list for Donegal Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania. This would have made her about 48 when her youngest son was born. Although it is not impossible to have a child at 48, it is not likely. She was probably born sometime between 1774 and 1778. She is 60 to 69 in the 1840 census making her born between 1771 and 1780. Her oldest son was born about 1795 and her youngest son was born in 1822.Miscellaneous
In the proof of settlement certificate Mary stated that she had resided upwards of 5 years on the tract with her family and is now residing there; hath 20 acres cleared, fenced, and cultivated; a house and barn thereon and annually raised crops on the same. Robert Dickson and Jacob Barnhart stated the facts are true. The statement was signed by the Justices of the Peace, John Parker,Esq. and Samuel Kinkead, Esq.Death
Mary died sometime between 15 May 1838 when Dewalt Foringer's will was written and 6 September 1850 when Dewalt is living without Mary in his son Henry's household.Endnotes
