Courson Miller HIMES

(1833 - 1923)

There was a close relationship between Jacob Himes and his wife Mary Catharine and Courson Miller Himes and his wife Francis. Clarence Shirey in a letter dated 19 June 1987 mentions copies of four deeds he received from Holmes County Ohio with these names on them. Although they don't state a direct father and son relationship, it is highly likely that Courson Miller was a son of Jacob Himes. They were living close to each other in the 1850 census in Tuscarawas County, Ohio and their ages in that census would indicate a father and son relationship rather than any other type of relationship.
