A. Conflict: Liliuokalani's Book of Genealogy, G-1, p. 46 identifies her as sister to Kamakaeheikuli and Haalou, daughters of Haae. She must have been confused with Kekuiapoiwa.
B. Kamehameha joined with his aunt Peleuli (Liliuokalani, Hawaii's Story by Hawaii's Queen, p 401). She was "well along in years, Peleuli being the mother of a full-grown son," when Kamehameha joined with Kaahumanu (Kalakaua, The Legends and Myths of Hawaii, p 399). She was Kamehameha's principal mate until Kaahumanu (Ahlo, Kamehameha's Children Today, p 50).
C. She joined with Kamehameha's younger brother Kawelolani, but continued to live in Kamehameha's household (Kamakau, Ruling Chiefs of Hawaii, p 311)
