B. Originally from Oahu, but joined with Kaholi of Maui (Kalakaua, The Legends and Myths of Hawaii, p 246). "Kapalaoa, whose pedigree is not remembered, but who was probably some Maui chiefess" (from Fornander, An Account of the Polynesian Race, vol 2 p 83).
