William Luther Moehonua

LIFE
A. He was Governor of Maui (McKinzie, Hawaiian Genealogies, vol 2 p 59).
B. Liliuokalani wrote of him: "He was a most estimable man, far superior to many of a corresponding rank, which was not of the highest; yet he was a good specimen of the Hawaiian race, of noble birth and patriotic sentiments" (Oukah, Hawaiian Royal & Noble Genealogies, p 244).
C. After the death of his first mate, Kaunuohua, he joined with Lucy Muolo. She died also and he joined with Kapeka Kahele, who survived him (McKinzie, Hawaiian Genealogies, vol 2 p 60).
D. Fragment: After Lucy Muoho's death, "he lived with his child form some years" (McKinzie, Hawaiian Genealogies, vol 2 p 60).
