It is unclear which of these mates of Kahalolenaula are his mother: Kanehoalani, Hinakului, or Kahikapualamea (He Buke Mookuauhau Alii. HMS G13, p 5). Fornander, An Account of the Polynesian Race, vol 1 p 186 shows similar confusion.
