list parents as Wala-ahi-lani-nui (aka Welaahilani or Welahilaninui or Welawahilaninui) and Owe (aka Ooe) (w) and his lineage. However, Fornander, An Account of the Polynesian Race, vol 1 p 62-63 describes Wela-ahi-lani and Owe were created by the God Kane as the first man and first woman. These legendary figures would not have rightfully been the parents of Kahiko.
