A. Conflict: He is listed as half-brother to Keeaumoku-papaiahiahi (Fornander, An Account of the Polynesian Race, vol 2 p 220).
B. He was sent by Kahekili, ruling chief of Maui, with brother Alapai to Kamehameha shortly after he became ruling chief of Hawaii (Kamakau, Ruling Chiefs of Hawaii, p 124).
