Conflict: "It is not certain that Paumakua was the son of Hua-nui-i-ka-la-la'ila'i." It may be that his mate Mano-ka-lili-lani was the daughter of Hua (Kamakau, Tales and Traditions of the People of Old, p 150).

Conflict: He Buke Mookuauhau Alii. Hms G13, p 24 skips 5 generations, listing parents as Lonohoonewa (k) and Loiloi (w).
LIFE

C. High chief of Oahu (Malo, Hawaiian Antiquities, p 247).
D. Contemporaries: "it becomes an undoubted historical fact that Maweke and Paumakua were contemporaries" (Fornander, An Account of the Polynesian Race, vol 1 p 198).
E. Died "at a very old age, and was buried at Iao, leaving his titles, meles and possessions to his son, Haho" (Kalakaua ,The Legends and Myths of Hawaii, p 84).
Conflict: Kamakau, Tales and Traditions of the People of Old, p 151 states he died on Lanai.
