LIFE
A. She was "reared and trained in genealogies by the famous orator Kepookulou at Ka'awaloa, Kona with the consent of her chiefly grandfather, Kamakau ... While Kapi'olani and her husband dwelt at Kuapehu, Hana Ululani was sent for to go and live with them. She was re-named Ka-maka-inaina by the chiefess, for the angry eyes of Kapi'olani, which the people said she had" (Pukui, Hawaiian Genealogies, p 115).
B. Conflict: The Royal Genealogical Tree of Edward Kamakau Lilikalani, M93.01-1-11-84 lists her husband as Edward K. Lilikalani.
