B. Succeeded his father as ruler of Oahu (Kalakaua, The Legends and Myths of Hawaii, p 342). "The line of the first born, Kanekapu-a-Kuihewa, is that of the dynastic rulers of Oahu" (Kamakau, Tales and Traditions of the People of Old, p 87).
