Troy Richard Kapinos died at Ann Lake on Sunday, May 10, 1987, at the age of 17 years.
He was born to Keith and Sandra Kapinos, at the Kanabec Hospital, Mora on December 11, 1969. He attended Ogilvie High School and participated in football and track and field events.
He had a sincere love of the outdoors. His pastimes included hunting, dirt biking, snowmobiling, football, and other sports. He truly loved life and lived it to the fullest.
He is survived by his parents Keith and Sandy Kapinos of Ogilvie; one brother, Brian; one sister, Kimberly; grandparents Willie and Gloria Kapinos of Mora; great grandfather Gilbert Lovro of Wyoming, Minnesota, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 13, 1987 at 10 a.m. at the Ogilvie High School gymnasium. Rev. Kenton Larson and Rev,. William Gafkjen officiated.
Pallbearers were Bob Aldrich, Jim Baumert, Jeff Christopherson, Danny Tetnowski, Bobby Lovro, and Perry Joos.
Honorary pallbearers were Mark Heikes, Bruce Berg, Brandon Heins, Lance Nielsen, Dan Michael, and Todd Visser.
Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery of Mora.
Funeral arrangements were by Dresser-Methven Funeral Home of Mora.
