Obituary - Gerald H. Schaefer
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Monday, July 1, at Hope Lutheran church, Sioux Falls for Gerald H. Schaefer, 50, of 1238 East 21st St., who died Thursday, June 27, in Clarinda, Iowa. He and his family were enroute home to Sioux Falls when he was stricken with a heart attach.
He was born Feb. 28, 1913, in Luverne, Minn. and married Grace Lovro Oct. 19, 1946, in Sioux Falls. He had come to Sioux Falls from Luverne in 1940, and had been with the John Morrell Co., and was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his widow, one daughter, Gail and one son, Gary; his parents Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schaefer of Luverne; two sisters, Mrs. Olaf Carlson and Irene Schaefer, both of Sioux Falls, and one brother, Russell of Luverne.
Mrs. Schaefer is the former Grace Lovro, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Lovro, residents of the Hendricks community some years ago.
