Martin Hanssen Christopherson

Martin was the son of Hans Hansen Hinsverk and Kirsti Olsdatter Hugas outside of marriage. Kirsti Olsdatter Almasoyen married Kristoffer Hugas in 1896 and Martin was included in the family of Kristoffer and emigrated to America in 1904: Singsaasboka Bind II page 232.
Martin is thus considered 'adopted' by Kristoffer Hugas by the family.
Translation of christening record:
Bachelor and farmer's son Hans Hanssen Hinsværk and unmarried girl and daughter of a tenant Kjersti Olsdatter Almaas. He lived at Hinsværk she at Almaasøien, he is born 1875, she is born 1875. Witnesses: farmer Anders Svendsen Langaas and wife Marit Olsdatter. Farmer Ole Andersen Dragåsøien and wife Berit Olsdatter, tailor Peder Hansen A lmåstø, married woman Hilde Jonsdatter Almåsstø. Martin was baptized at home (before the ceremony in church) by Peder Hanssen Almaasstø, witnesses married woman Marit Olsdatter Langaas and farmer Ole Olsen Langaas.

I've found Martin Christopherson mother's birth record. Kjersti was born 3 Sept 1875. Her record shows that her parents are Ole Pedersen Almaas and Gunhild Hansdatter.
