I've tried to find out additional information regarding Mr. McGilligan. I did find something from the Social Security Death Index. It might be the same person. Born 6/26/1909, death July 1983. His last residence was 50595 Webster City, Hamilton County, Iowa. That's about right - it would make him 19 when Mom was born.
Ken Kirkvold obtained a copy of her Certificate of Birth; wasn't that kind of him. I thought maybe some of the cousins might have known him, as Grandma Inez was living with her brother, Justin Wold, when all of this occurred and Ken mentioned he knew Justin and Inez well. Nothing so far!
When I get more, I'll send it right away.
