Kenneth Lyle Kirkvold, 71, died April 5th, 2005 at McKennan Hospital. He was born June 12, 1933 at Astoria, SD to Selmer and Inga Marie Kirkvold. He graduated from Washington High School in 1951. He was in the Navy for 4 years and the Naval Reserve for 22 years. He married Lila Mae Meyer on April 28, 1957 at Humboldt, SD. He was a carpenter and worked at the Labor Temple for the Carpenters Union and at Job Corp in the Black Hills. He is survived by his wife, Lila Mae; one daughter, Julie (Brian) Lindgren of Sioux Falls; one son, Roger (Sheila) of Winona, MN; and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at Grace Lutheran Church on Friday, April 8, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, Main Avenue location.
