Martin Olesen Føllingstad

Martin was the host family for Kristian Bjugstad when he came to America in 1880. Kristian was shown to be in that house just 1 month after arrival in America and I asked Gerd Kure Bjugstad if there was any connection to the host family and she replied:
"I can see a relationship between Kristian and Martin Føllingstad. I can read in "Vardal Bygdebok 1" that Ole Olsen Føllingstad (born 1803) and his wife Maria sold their farm Føllingstad in Vardal municipality in 1824, they had one child - Martin. He was unmarried, went to America and went back to Norway and bougth his parents farm back in 1892. (I could not read why his parents sold the farm, in the book, but I think you had the answer) Ole Olsen born 1803 was son of Ole Olsen born 1748 and Johanne Johannesdaugther Bjugstad born 1768."
