Per Svensen Vinsnes
(1779 - 1883)

Per Svensen, b. 1779, d. 1833, was very stiff and was always called Kranken (means something like sickly person). In 1810 he married Gjartrud Olsdatter, b. Abt. 1780 d. 1862. She moved to Singsås and came to Bogen as a servant ("taus" can mean several things, but means most certanly servant) and went later to Øyan. The situation had changed and his accommodation/support was withdrawn and the newly married got a leasehold in 1811 for pieces of his homeland/farm; Kalvehagemoen and Hostadhagen. Per and Gjartrud were just about to start building and farming when the family at Nordmoen gave notice of their place(moved away) and the newly married took over the houses, and in return Per Jonsen and Marit got a few "dollars" for them. (Husmannsfolk could be translated as a tenant farmer...? Or a cotter/crofter says my dictionary.) A crofter had the ground on leasehold, but usually owned the houses, at least half of them. This was the way Per and Gjartrud ended up at Nordmoen. She's supposed to be from the Røros-region.

2. Berit, f. 1774, g.m. Per Kristiansen Bones, sjå Kjellen.
3. Guri, f. 1776, g.m. Anders Estensen Almås, Utstu'u.
4. Per, f. 1779, g.m. Gjartrud Olsdt., sjå Nordmoen.
5. Sven, f. 1782, g.m. Marit Hansdt. Malum, sjå Nordstu'u nedafor.
6. Ola, f. 1784, død ugift 1819.
7. Per d.y., f. 1786, g.m. Guri Svensdt. Høen, tok over halve bruket, sjå Oppstu'u Vinsnes.
8. Anne, f. 1789, g.m. Per Tomassen Talsnes, Nordgården.
Per being handicapped is the reason why he didn’t get the farm. But that didn’t stop him from getting women (as written on page 320, vol.3). When he married the accommodation was cancelled.
