Zilphy's Tree of Claud(e) Descendants - Sarah Claud Family Line
This family history was intended for distribution at the 1983 Claud(e) family reunion. Obligations and pressure from my job made completion at that time impossible. I trust that the old saying will apply here: "Better late than never"
Some of what I wrote for a sketchy 1982 family history still apply:
"All family histories are subject to errors: there are many contained in this brief history... mistakes in typing and errors in names. The ideal family history should have dates and places of birth, marriage and death: dates are for the most part, absent from this work.
Hopefully family members will contribute information that can ensure a more thorough and more accurate family history... There is something special, almost sacred, about family ... to see where one came from, to see where various family members have spread and to realize that the blood of common ancestors runs through all the people mentioned."
I would now hope that someone in the Claud family will assume the task and responsibility of maintaining the family record. I have enjoyed the hours spent in conversation with family members. I will never forget the warmth, kindness and generosity of those who made this family record possible. To each of them, I again express my deepest thanks and appreciation
