John died at the age of 35 in April 1620 and was buried at the church of St Simon and St Jude on 15 April: Transcription of the parish registers of St Simon and St Jude, Norwich, Norfolk, England made by E.A. John died the month before his father Thomas wrote his Will in May 1620, and hence does not appear in it. Considering Thomas' extensive bequests to his large family, perhaps John's death prompted Thomas to revise his Will to reallocate his legacies to his other children.
John did appear in the the Will of his brother Edward, who had been abroad for the East India Company, and was written in July 1620. Edward also left a legacy to his father Thomas and it is likely that he was not aware that either his brother or his father had already died back in England.
