== Biography ==Elizabeth Pierce Bennet was born in 1612 in England, the child of Thomas and Alice Pierce. She married Honorable Richard Jackson in 1641 in Isle of Wight, Virginia. They had two children, Mary and Sarah, during their marriage. She died in Isle of Wight County, Virginia.
==Her Mother==Mary's mother, Alice, was born about 1575 in England. She died about 1647 in Isle of Wight County, Virginia. Some say Alice's maiden name is unknown.

The husband Thomas Pierce was killed in an Indian Massacre at [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin's_Hundred Martin's Hundred] on 26 Mar 1622 at which time his widow and daughter were captured by the Indians who held them for ransom for almost a year.
After their release, the widow Alice Snayle Pierce married [[Bennett-5589|Thomas Bennett ]] and her daughter chose him as her legal guardian to protect her rights to the estate of her deceased financè John Filmer in 1624.
