Since we have Richard listed here as son of Henry, it is worth keeping open the possibility that this Henry of Essex Co. might be the son of an earlier Richard Kerby::Mr. Arthur Prise (Price), 1700 acs. Yorke Co., 6 May, 1651, p. 317. On S. side of Yorke Riv. ...Trans. of 34 pers: ... Richard Kerby.Nugent. Cavaliers and Pioneers. K. loc. 8203
The 1687 arrival record of Henry doesn't rule out him being present earlier. Might be hard to prove, though, as there are no other known records of that Richard.
