== Biography == Birth: Aug. 3, 1645 to son of Francis & Joan Stiles Marriage: (1) Ruth Rogers on July 28, 1669 and (2) Bathsheba Tomlinson after 1680. He was a prominent citizen of Oronoke (part of Stratford) where he was selected to be a deputy to the General Assembly in 1686, 1689, 169203, 1696, 1699, 1702, and to the Court of Election, 1695, 1697, 1704, 1708, on the committee for safety for Fairfield Co in 1704, and a member of the First Church of Stratford in 1670. In January of 1705/6, the town granted him the right to set up a gristmill at Farmill River, a little below Black Brook.
