Herdson's grandson William was a lawyer but he had astounding access to Star Chamber. He summarized ( 'abstracted' ) nearly a full century of prior cases. He must have been trusted to handle such a delicate task. Imagine one man today, abstracting US Supreme Court cases-for us to read. I have his father's will. This is noted in "Family Tree Maker" and also by "World Connect." Evidence found by Rhonda Chesser Porter in researching for her father, a genealogist, on her trip to Tamworth and Millom Castle tend to swing the pendulum towards William being a son of Henry II. The works of Ian Chadwick and others also lean in this direction. Perhaps, a few dark secrets will eventually creep through the Castle Walls. ==Documented Sons== #William Hudson, "England Births and Christenings, 1538-1975," index, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/NPYD-BBS#Christopher Hudson, "England Births and Christenings, 1538-1975," index, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/N6RN-1Q2#Richard Hudson Sr. "England Births and Christenings, 1538-1975," index, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/NPY8-YW5#Edward Hudson "England Births and Christenings, 1538-1975," index, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/NPY8-YW5 == Sources == * Ancestral File (R) Title: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Ancestral File (R) (Copyright (c) 1987, June 1998, data as of 5 January 1998) Ancestral File Number: JCSB-NL, Ancestral File Number: 13TT-KG3 * "England Marriages, 1538–1973 ," index, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/V5V6-LRT * http://www.thedomesticcurator.com/2013/12/hudson-genealogy-from-rudolph-to.html * http://www.ianchadwick.com/hudson/hudson_07.htm * http://hamelia.tripod.com/generations.html * http://www.avocadoridge.com/carney/getperson.php?personID=I16243&tree=tree1 *http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~formyfamily/Hudson/hudsonfampage2.htm * http://wc.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=redbirdacres&id=I0642 * Records Shared by [http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hudson-3834 James Hudson] 8/28/2014 '''Click on the Changes Tab to view edits.'''
