Alternatively, he is said to have been the son of [[Horner-2709|James Horner]] but this may be speculative. James emigrated from the UK to Isle of Kent. Many of the residents of this area (that had become part of Maryland) moved to Westmoreland.

Elizabeth's birth name is not known. She first married Andrew Munro, then George Horner, and then finally Edward Montjoy.
Again, the Clan Munro site gives a birth year a decade later: before 30 July 1679 he married Elizabeth Alexander. She was born 1640 in Westmoreland Co., Virginia and died in 1690 in Westmoreland Co., Virginia The Clan Munro site names her three marriages, but treats her birth name Alexander, and her parents Col.
