== Biography ==Lewis was born in 1543. He is the son of [[Ragland-42|Thomas Ragland]] and [[Carne-1|Mary Carne]]. Lewis was the eldest son of Thomas Ragland and Mary (Carne) Ragland. As his father's heir, he acquired Llys-y-Fronydd in 1565. He married twice; first to Cecil Thomas, daughter of James Thomas, Lord of Llanvihangel Manor, Glamorgan, Wales. Second marriage was to Mary Matthew , daughter of Sir George Matthews of Cardiff, Wales. Robert Raglan, grandson of Lewis Raglan and Cecil Thomas, was the last Raglan to hold Llys-y-Fronydd. When Robert Raglan died, in 1674, the manor passed on to his only child, a daughter named Mary.
