Between 1379 and 1436 there were nine East Sutton deeds, most of them dealing with the transfer of land which cannot be identified. This deed of 1390 serves to illustrate their character:
'I, John Filmere of Oterindenne give to John Paytwyn of Faversham one acre and a half of land and two acres an half in the vill of Oterindenne in a certain croft enclosed called Shedescrofte and in a certain place called Shedewode in the same vill with appurtenances lying in a certain place called Shedeswode in the same vill of Oderendenne. Given at Oderindenne 27th February 14 Richard II. Witnesses: John Carpenter, Simon Waren, John Reade, John Potage, Salamon Foox.
