"(Sir) William Hawte of Bishopsbourne (c. 1489-1539),[73] whose wardship was granted to Sir Henry Frowyk in 1503,[74] married Mary Guildford (daughter of Sir Richard Guildford, and relict of Christopher Kempe), and was by her father of Jane Haute, the wife of Sir Thomas Wyatt the Younger. William remarried to Margaret, daughter of Oliver Wood."

William HAWTE - Will 12 January 1538
Sir William Hawte, Knight of Bisshoppsborne in Kent of the age of 49 yeres, 12 January 1538. To be buried in the Quier of Bisshoppsborne on the southe side of Mary my wife next unto her. To the high awter 20s. To high awters of Patrikerborne & Brege 3s 4d. I will not have above ��10 to be bestowed at my burying or forthfare therof in masses three of four. I geve unto the parson or curate of 20 of the next parisshes to B: in the country for one masse to be saide 8d & to the clerke 4d & to poure inhabitants of the 20 parisshes tenne mrcs. To the new helyng (roofing) of the churche of B: £4 and as moche tyle from the nunry late of Saint Sepulcre as will serve for the performaunce of the coveryng of the same church so it be done by Mighelmas next.Unto Allexander Culpeper the sonne of Thomas Culpeper thelder my best capp wch my grandfather left me & to the said Thomas C. my sone in lawe my damaske gowne furrid or my blacke velvet gowne. Unto Thomas Wyatt my son in lawe the other. Unto Thomas Culpepar my lease of the late nunry of Saint Sepolcros I bought of Spillman & Candishe & I give to the said Thomas Wyatte & to my doughter Jane his (wife omitted) my second standing cupp which I hadd of my mother Dame Isabell Hawte.To James Gage my black cloke garded wt velvet. Rest of myne apparell that is newe & good unto Margarett my wyfe for her sonnes & children, except it be olde geare or apparell under 20s the pece, all that I give unto Roger my servant & also 40s, my ball trotting gelding & the third parte of 100 ewys going at Stotney. Unto my Lorde Warden my blacke ambling gelding & to the Master of the Rolls my sorrel gelding.To Thomas Dabbes my servant 40s & my best next gelding. To Robert Violett my servant 40s & a colte of one yere & more as good as he will chose amongs my maares & to Willm Wode my servant 40s & a couple of keen & to Rauffe Parker my servant 40s & a colte of two yeres age & to Nicholas Franckelyn my servant 40s. To the Waryner 20s, to John Fawconer buttler 20s. Unto Margaret my wyfe plate to the value of £100 & half the household stuff & the other halffe to remayne for the howse to the behowfe of the saide Thomas Culpeper.
