(Abt 1475 - Aft 1506)

== Biography ==Anne Skinner was born in about 1475 at Reigate, Surrey, England. She was the daughter of John Skinner and his wife, Joane (Caldecote) Skinner, of Surrey.
In about 1500 she married Sir Henry Wyatt, b. 1460 in Boxley, Kent, England. They had 3 children:# Henry Wyatt b: ca. 1500 in Allington Castle, Kent, England - d. as an infant
# Thomas Wyatt b: 1503 in Boxley, Kent, England - m. Elizabeth Brooke
# Margaret Wyatt b: 1504 in Boxley, Kent, England - m. Sir Anthony Lee
Henry Wyatt was the younger son of a Yorkshire gentry family and had a good education. In the 1480s, when England was wracked by Civil War, he early took up a position in support of Henry Tudor, claimant to the Throne. As a result he was imprisoned by King Richard III until the latter was defeated at Bosworth and Henry Tudor became King Henry VII. Henry Wyatt then became one of his leading councilors and in 1485 became keeper of Norwich Castle and jail. Later he became a member of King Henry VII's privy council and a royal agent in Scotland, where he had earlier been imprisoned. He was made a knight of the Order of the Bath on July 23, 1509.
In 1492 Henry purchased Allington Castle, near Maidstone, Kent. It became his principal residence in Boxley Parish. There he raised his family while enjoying royal favor into the reign of Henry VIII and with the neighboring Boleyn family (of Queen Anne Boleyn).
Lady Anne (Skinner) Wyatt died at Allington Castle, Boxley, Kent, sometime after the birth of her daughter, Margaret Wyatt, ca. 1504. No exact date is recorded. Her husband survived her and passed away in 1537 at the age of 77 years old.
