*John Grant, 4th of Freuchie was the son of James Grant, 3rd of Freuchie and Elizabeth Forbes.
*He married, firstly, Lady Margaret Stewart, daughter of John Stewart, 3rd Earl of Atholl and Grizel Rattray, before 19 February 1539.
*He married, secondly, Lady Janet Leslie, daughter of George Leslie, 4th Earl of Rothes, before 8 March 1557/58. He died on 3 June 1585
*Baillie (steward) Kinloss Abbey.3 On 25 October 1577 he was granted by charter the Parkhill estate, Fifeshire, following its forfeiture by John Leslie.
