Alexander Stewart was born about 1397 in Falkland Castle, Lennox, Fifeshire, Scotland. He was the son of Murdoch Stewart the Second Duke of Albany, Earl of Fife and Menteith and his wife Isabel Lennox.
He died on 25 May 1425 in Castle Hill, Stirlingshire, Scotland by King James.
