But in 1388-9 King Richard II sent Robert, Bishop of Aire, on a mission to Aquitaine to bring the bones of Edward, the king's brother, back to England. Edward's remains were subsequently buried in the church of the Friars Preachers at Chilterne Langley (parish of King's Langley), Hertfordshire, but removed sometime before the 1550's to the church of the Austin Friars, London.
