Alison Douglas was the daughter of George Douglas, Master of Angus and Elizabeth Drummond. She had been supposed to marry William Douglas younger of Cavers before 1506 by contract but that does not seem to have happed. Instead, she married, about 1511, Robert Blackadder, the son of Andrew Blackadder of that Ilk, and by him had 2 daughters, Margaret and Beatrix. They married Robert and John Hume, younger brothers of Sir David Hume of Wedderburn, who becames Alison's third husband after Robert was killed at Flodden, and by David had 3 son and 2 daughters.
