== Biography ==
Natural daughter of Alexander Stewart of Pitcairn, Bishop of Moray and Margaret Stewart illegitimate daughter of King James IV by Margaret Drummond.
She was born about 1518 -19 at the time when her mother was Lady Gordon, widow of John, Lord Gordon (d.Dec.1517)
She was brought up in the household of John Drummond of Innerpefferay who married her mother, Lady Gordon. He was tutor to young David Lord Drummond and probably influenced the marriage of David and Margaret which, with the King's approval, took place in 1536. By a Precept of Sasine under the Quarter seal dated 5 Mar 1535/36 David Drummond was granted the Barony of Cargill identifying a long list of properties. She had only one child * Sibilla who married Sir Gilbert Ogilvy William Drummond of Hawthornden who began work on the Drummond genealogy before 1626, wrote that Sibilla Drummond was the daughter of David Lord Drummond by his first wife Margaret Stewart.
Margaret died about 1541.
