Margaret Mains

(Abt 1630 - )

== Disputed Origins ==Margaret Mains had been shown with parents [[Mayne-255 | John Mayne]] and his wife, [[Laurie-84 | Elizabeth Ann (Laurie) Mayne]] without quality sources. Margaret's birth information has not been found, but with her birth year shown as 1630, and her parents as 1614 and 1623, it is highly unlikely that they are her parents. As such, they will be detached as her parents; if subsequent research reveals her parents, they can be added back assuming quality sources are provided.
Her first name has not been found shown to be Margaret in any quality sources; in marriage records with Stephen Larrabee, per Torrey, Stephen is shown marrying "_______ [?Mains]" in the year 1652, at N. Yarmouth, Maine.''New England Marriages to 1700''. (Online database. AmericanAncestors.org. New England Historic Genealogical Society, 2008.)
