Thomas' date of birth, place of birth and parents are unknown. The surname of his wife Alys is unknown. There is no documentable evidence for parents William Perkins and Joanne Read.'''

What is known about Thomas and Alys comes from their wills, his written and proved in 1528 and hers proved in 1538. In their wills each names only three children, Henry, Jone, and Julia/Julianna. John Brooks Threlfall, ''The Ancestry of Thomas Bradbury and his wife Mary Perkins,'' (Madison, Wisconsin, 1988).In Alys will her daughters are married and have children.
Thomas's Will was dated 03 Apr 1528 and he died sometime that year in Hillmorton Parish. The will was proved 21 Apr 1528 and he directs to be buried in the Church of St. John the Baptist in Hillmorton, before the Rood. His wife Alice, whose will was proved 15 Oct 1538, also requested that she be buried there.
He refers to lands and tenements in Hillmorton and Lilborne; and mentions: Thomas Gierke and Alys "my wife," executors; Henry "my son," Jone & Jelyan. "my daughters." An old inscription of the church (Church of St. John the Baptist before the Rood) states that "In the middle ile (sic) of this Church are two grave stones of marble, each of them having small portraitures in brass of a man and a woman, with divers children; on one of them is this Inscription: Here lyeth Thomas Perkins and Alice and Elizabeth, Our Lord save their souls from everlasting death. Amen."
