Corporal Edward Morris the 1st was born in 1580 in Blutisham Town, Huntington County, Wales and died suddenly 14 Aug 1607 in Jamestown, Colony of Virginia. He was recruited by Edward-Maria Wingfield and sailed to Jamestown Dec. 1606 aboard the "Susan Constant" and arrived May 1607. He left behind in the UK at least two sons Edward Morris II(born 1603) and Nicholas Morris (1605 – 1664) who was justice of County Court of Northumberland, Virginia.
