From http://www.unc.edu/~rowlett/families/cocke.htm

10 William Cocke, a son of Richard Cocke and Mary Aston, was born about 1657. There is much uncertainty concerning his wife or wives. The portion of his father's estate he inherited was called the "Low Grounds", so he is often known as William Cocke of the Low Grounds. He died in 1693, only about 36 years old, mentioning three children in his will. From the will it appears that the mother of his children had died and he had remarried. The first wife is generally assumed to have been Jane Flowers.
