Hugh Fraser, 5th Lord Lovat married Lady Elizabeth Stewart, daughter of John Stewart, 4th Earl of Atholl and Lady Elizabeth Gordon, on 24 December 1567.
He died between 1 January 1576 and 1577. He died on 1 January 1576, with an eldest and youngest son (both d in infancy) and three other daughters:.[2]
He was the son of Alexander Fraser of Lovat, 4th Lord Lovat and Janet Campbell.[1]
*He was also known as UISDEAN (‘HUGH') Ruadh (‘The Red') FRASER Fraser.[2]
*He gained the title of 5th Lord Lovat.
*In 1581, (his widow) married 3rd James Stewart, Earl of Arran.[2]
