== Biography ==Murdach or Murdoch, became the 4th Earl of Menteith. He held the earldom during the minority of his niece Mary, the daughter of his brother Alan the 3rd Earl of Menteith.
He received many grants of lands from King Robert Bruce.
He was killed at the battle of Dnpplin in 1332.
