Sir Allan Cameron
(Abt 1306 - Bef 1406)

}
== Biography ==I HAVE THIS ALLAN BORN IN 1355 AND DYING AFTER 1411. HE WOULD STILL BE ALIVE FOR THE BIRTH OF HIS SON IN 1411, AND APPROPRIATE AGE FOR THE BIRTH OF HIS CHILDREN IN 1388 AND 1390. GENE ADKINS.
Traditionally the 9th Chief of Lochiel
In the History of the Camerons Alexander MacKenzie states that Allan was
"Commonly known among his countrymen as “Allan
MacOchtery,” which some writers have rendered “Allan
MacUchtred”. This does not, however, appear to have any
meaning, for no such name as Uchtred turns up before or
after, so far as we can find, in the whole Genealogy of the
clan. A much more likely origin will be found in the sug-
gestion that the name means Allan “MacOchdamh Triath,”
or Allan son of the Eighth chief According to the family
Genealogy given here, and in the Baronage, where two
Johns are given in succession immediately before this Allan"
The MacFarlane Clan and Families Genealogy website gives two children by Allan and an unnamed daughter of the Drummond clan:1. Ewen Cameron, 10th Chief, "possibly one of the Clan Kay champions killed at the staged clan battle at the North Inch of Perth on 28th September 1396"
2. Donald Dhu Cameron, 11th Chief
