Euphemia of England

(Bef Aug 1101 - )

== Biography ==
There's some contradiction here. Alison Weir states that Euphemia might have been the legitimate daughter of Matilda of Scotland, and Henry I of England. She adds that this is probably:
: "the child born in late July or early August, 1101, at Winchester, who died young.": Weir, Alison. Britain's Royal Families: The Complete Genealogy. London: Vintage Books. Epub ISBN: 9781446449110
On the other hand, a previous WikiTree source has related some information from the Medlands Project posted at fmg.ac. It says she's an illegitimate daughter of Henry I.

The Latin quote from Medlands is as follows:
: "Guillaume de Jumièges records one illegitimate daughter of King Henry I as wife of "Willelmo Goieto". m GUILLAUME [III] Goët de Montmirail, son of GUILLAUME [II] Goët Seigneur de Montmirail et de Château-du-Loir & his wife Eustachie -- (before 1080). He succeeded his father as Seigneur de Montmirail.": MEDLANDS at [http://fmg.ac/Projects/MedLands/ENGLAND,%20Kings%201066-1603.htm fmg.ac]
Although the above is correct for what it says, it's been misinterpreted.: See [[UNKNOWN-33840|Mistresses of Henry I]] for more... Eustachie or Eustacia is actually "[[FitzRoy-26|Mabel]]" ... the illegitimate daughter who married William Gouet III, Lord of Montmirail.
