Roger de Montgomery "le Poitevin" was the fourth son of [[De_Montgomery-94|Roger II de Montgomery]], Seigneur de Montgomery, Vicomte d'Hiémois, Earl of Shrewsbury and Sire d'Alençon, in right of his first wife, and Roger's mother [[Talvas-45|Mabel Talvas]].
