There is a post on the forum from Candy Pace Feathers who is the GGGGrandaughter of Azariah Pace who claims that Azaria Pace was actually the son of John Pace's brother and that he was sent to TX from somewhere in the South during his childhood. I also believe that her information may be inaccurate mainly because of the Azariah name connections stated above and that Azariah Pace was only three years old in the 1860 census. -- Bryan Swedlund 18 Mar 2013
