Walter Peters was the Sherriff of Bedford Co. VA. in the early 1900's years. Hewas a carpenter,musician,worked for the Mead Paper Mill,Owen Illionis Paper Mill and also worked for a short time in the coal mines of West Virginia as a young man.He was a good and kind man and loved to play the banjo and fiddle for his children and grand children.He married his childhood sweetheart Minnie Cora Nichols.Resided in Charlemont,Bedford Co. Va. for a number of years with wife and children.
